Gray Center for Racial Justice & Equity

The task of the feasibility team was to work with the Task Force, ECBF, and community stakeholders to assist in setting the table for a fact-based evaluation of the diocese's 500+ acres in Canton, MS. To accomplish this task, the professional team examined the existing conference facilities and, most importantly, the environmental, visual, and carrying capacity of the land itself.  PUSH studio provided the initial ‘Visioning’ for the feasibility study, which included a conceptual process model that married diocese goals, site potentials, and community needs.  The vision was guided by three key process steps:  Revealing site and history, Inspiring diocese and community connections, and shaping the land to envision a new type of racial justice conference center.
